So, you are really excited to have the home you are selling under contract and things are progressing as expected towards closing. And then, the title company reaches out to tell you that there are open permits that need to be closed out in order to complete the sales transaction. What do you do? Where do you start?

Let's face it, we are not general contractors, nor are we permit wizards. So, where do you start when the only information you have is a flag from the title company that there are open, unresolved permits for the property you have under contract to sell.
