What's not to love about Naples?

The population continues to grow in Naples, Florida as more people decide they are tired of the harsh winters. Naples has some extraordinary things to offer people at all phases of their lives. I wanted to take a moment to give you my top 10 reasons Naples is a great place to live full-time or seasonally.​​

1. No state income taxes... I could stop there but realize there are a few other states that also offer that advantage. Why not have a little extra money in your pocket. This is a strong vantage point.
2. Sunshine year round... OK, you had me at sun. The weather here is gorgeous year round. Some believe that it gets too hot in the summer, but I would ask that you go check out some of the humid, hot areas up north during the summer. The other thing to keep in mind is that your body does adjust and learn to cope with the climate.
3. Great schools. Naples has some blue ribbon, A rated schools. This is a selling point even if you don't have children or your children are grown because it helps the property values.
4. Golf and more golf... Naples has more than 80 golf courses in the area. And because of number 2 above, you can enjoy them year round. As a perk to us local folks, the cost of golf goes way down in the summer giving you the opportunity to enjoy more for less.
5. Water everywhere... This is great for boaters. Not only is there the gorgeous Gulf, you can also spend enjoyable afternoons on the internal waterways. If you don't own a boat, don't worry, there are plenty of boat clubs around town to allow you to enjoy the wide open water without the hassle and maintenance of your ownership.
6. The best beaches... Seriously. The only downside is that you have a difficult time on vacation when you are constantly comparing every other beach to our gorgeous, clean, white sandy beaches.
7. Low property taxes... Collier County, which Naples is a part of, even has lower tax rates that our neighbors in Ft. Myers.
8. Active lifestyle... There is something for everyone in Naples but this is definitely a town that doesn't sit still. 
9. Safety and Cleanliness. I am combining these two because I think it boils down to residents and officials that care. This is one of the safest and cleanest communities my family and I have ever lived in (and we have lived in some good ones prior to Naples).
10. Friendly people... You can always find a friendly face and a neighbor willing to help. It's just the way it is.
