ABOUT COLLIER'S RESERVE

Collier's Reserve is a private gated country club community set across 450 acres along the Cocohatchee River in North Naples. Unlike many larger Naples golf developments that combine condominiums, villas and single-family neighborhoods, Collier's Reserve consists exclusively of single-family homes arranged within an exceptionally natural setting of mature vegetation, waterways and approximately 130 acres of conservation land. The community's relatively intimate scale and emphasis on environmental preservation give it a distinctive Old Florida character despite its luxury residential and club offerings.

Custom and estate homes are positioned throughout the community on generously landscaped homesites, with residences overlooking the golf course, lakes, preserves and natural surroundings. Architectural styles and home sizes vary considerably, reflecting decades of individual construction, renovation and redevelopment rather than a collection of standardized builder floor plans. Private pools, expansive lanais and outdoor kitchens are common, while individual properties may offer particularly private settings created by the community's extensive vegetation and natural buffers.

Environmental stewardship is an important part of the identity of Collier's Reserve. Its Arthur Hills-designed golf course became the world's first golfing community designated as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary, and the community later achieved Gold Certification. The Cocohatchee River adds another dimension to the lifestyle, with residents able to kayak and canoe through mangrove-lined waterways toward the Gulf of Mexico. Combined with golf, racquet sports, fitness, swimming, dining and an active social calendar, Collier's Reserve offers a private-club experience that feels closely connected to its natural surroundings.

Why People Like the Collier's Reserve Community

  • Exceptional Natural Setting: Approximately 130 acres of conservation land, the Cocohatchee River, native vegetation and protected habitat distinguish Collier's Reserve from more conventionally landscaped golf communities.

  • Audubon History: Collier's Reserve became the world's first golfing community designated as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary, reflecting a longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship.

  • Arthur Hills Golf: The 18-hole course is integrated into the natural landscape, with vegetation buffers and thoughtful setbacks helping preserve both scenery and residential privacy.

  • Only Single-Family Homes: There are no condominium towers, coach homes or attached villas, creating a consistently low-density residential environment.

  • Boutique Club Atmosphere: Limited club membership helps maintain a more intimate private-club experience and access to recreational facilities.

  • Riverfront Lifestyle: Kayaking, canoeing and fishing on the Cocohatchee River add recreational opportunities rarely found within a Naples golf community.

  • Extensive Recreation: Tennis, pickleball, bocce, swimming, fitness, walking and biking provide plenty to do beyond golf.

  • Distinctive Dining: The main Clubhouse is complemented by the riverfront Boathouse, offering a more casual dining environment overlooking the Cocohatchee River.

What You Need to Know About Living in Collier's Reserve

  • Club Membership Is an Important Part of Ownership: Buyers should understand the membership requirements associated with purchasing a home and review current membership categories, initiation requirements, annual dues and other applicable club expenses.

  • Homes Are Individually Designed: Collier's Reserve is not a standardized builder community. Square footage, architecture, garage configuration, renovation level and outdoor living can differ dramatically from one property to another.

  • Homesites Matter: Golf course, preserve, lake and other natural settings provide different views and levels of privacy. Orientation and surrounding vegetation can be just as important as the residence itself.

  • Established Homes Require Individual Evaluation: Roofs, windows and doors, hurricane protection, mechanical systems, pools and interior improvements vary considerably and should be evaluated property by property.

  • Rental Use Is Limited: Collier's Reserve is oriented toward residential and club use rather than short-term rentals. Buyers considering leasing should review the current HOA and club requirements carefully.

  • Club and HOA Obligations Are Separate Considerations: Buyers should evaluate both homeowners association expenses and applicable country club membership costs when considering the total cost of ownership.

COLLIER'S RESERVE AMENITIES

Golf is central to the Collier's Reserve experience. The 18-hole Arthur Hills-designed course is woven through the community's protected natural landscape, incorporating native vegetation, wetlands and wildlife habitat while maintaining substantial buffers between golf and residential areas. Practice facilities and an active calendar of men's, women's and mixed golf provide opportunities for both recreational and competitive play.

The Sports Center expands the recreational offering well beyond golf, with five Har-Tru tennis courts, four pickleball courts and two Har-Tru bocce courts. The fitness center offers cardiovascular and strength-training equipment along with group programming such as yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling, tai chi and Aqua Fit. A heated swimming pool provides another option for exercise or relaxation.

The Cocohatchee River is one of the community's most distinctive amenities. Members can launch canoes and kayaks from the community dock and explore the mangrove-lined waterways toward the Gulf of Mexico, while fishing is available from the dock or by boat. Walking and biking trails wind through the community's natural surroundings, and a dog park provides additional outdoor recreation.

Dining and social life are centered around two distinctly different settings. The Clubhouse provides dining, gathering and event spaces, while the Boathouse sits directly along the Cocohatchee River and offers a more casual waterfront dining experience. An active calendar of social events, clubs, educational programs and activities provides opportunities for residents who want to become involved in community life.

Together, Collier's Reserve offers something relatively uncommon in Naples: a sophisticated private country club lifestyle built around golf, recreation and dining while maintaining a strong connection to the river, wildlife and preserved Old Florida landscape.
