ABOUT THE QUARRY
The Quarry is a gated residential community in North Naples distinguished by an expansive freshwater lake system created from a former limestone quarry. Unlike most Naples communities where lakes primarily provide scenery, the water at The Quarry is an active part of everyday recreation. Residents can enjoy boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking and other water activities, creating a lifestyle that feels more like a private lake resort than a conventional inland Naples neighborhood. Homes are positioned throughout the community with a variety of lake, preserve and golf course settings, and many waterfront properties have private docks.
The Quarry also offers an extensive recreational and social lifestyle without requiring residents to join the private golf club. Homeowners have access to The Quarry Beach Club, a resident amenity complex along Stone Lake featuring a sandy beach, resort and lap pools, fitness and wellness facilities, tennis, pickleball, bocce, dining and opportunities for boating and watersports. Golfers can separately pursue membership at The Quarry Golf Club, home to an 18-hole Hurdzan-Fry championship course. This separation makes The Quarry particularly appealing to households where not everyone plays golf or buyers who want a full resort-style lifestyle without mandatory golf membership.
Why People Like The Quarry Community
A True Boating Lake: The Quarry's freshwater lake system allows motorized boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking and other activities that are uncommon within Naples residential communities.
Private Beach Club: Homeowners enjoy a lakefront Beach Club with a sandy beach, swimming pools, fitness, dining, court sports and social facilities.
Private Docks: Many waterfront residences have private docks, while additional boating facilities provide lake access for residents who do not live directly on the water.
Optional Golf: The Quarry Golf Club offers an 18-hole championship course, but golf membership is separate from residential ownership.
Extensive Non-Golf Amenities: Residents can enjoy swimming, fitness, tennis, pickleball, bocce, dining and water recreation without joining the Golf Club.
Lake, Golf and Preserve Settings: Homes throughout the community offer a variety of views and residential environments.
What You Need to Know About Living in The Quarry
Beach Club and Golf Club Are Different: The Quarry Beach Club provides the primary homeowner lifestyle amenities, while The Quarry Golf Club is a separate private club requiring its own membership.
Golf Is Optional: Purchasing a home in The Quarry does not automatically provide golf membership and does not require the owner to join the Golf Club.
Golf Membership Availability Should Be Verified: Buyers who consider golf essential should investigate current membership categories, availability, initiation requirements and dues before purchasing.
Boating Characteristics Are Property-Specific: Buyers who own or plan to purchase a boat should verify dock availability, vessel restrictions, lake-access rules and other boating requirements associated with the specific residence.
Association Structures Can Vary: Buyers should review current master and applicable neighborhood association fees, maintenance responsibilities, reserves and governing documents for the specific property.
Homes Vary in Features and Condition: Private docks, pools, hurricane protection, roofing, renovations, mechanical systems and outdoor living improvements differ among individual residences.
THE QUARRY AMENITIES
Water is the defining amenity at The Quarry. The community's expansive freshwater lake system was created from a former limestone quarry and provides something unusual for Naples: a recreational environment designed for motorized boating and watersports. Residents can boat, water ski, wakeboard, kayak and enjoy other activities directly within the community, while waterfront homes can offer private docks and immediate access to the lake. For buyers accustomed to Naples communities where lakes are primarily decorative, this is a meaningful distinction.
The Quarry Beach Club serves as the recreational and social center for homeowners. Located directly along Stone Lake, the private waterfront club combines a sandy beach environment with a resort-style swimming pool and separate lap pool. Residents can spend the day swimming, relaxing along the lake or enjoying food and beverages without leaving the community.
Fitness and wellness facilities provide another major component of the Beach Club experience. A Fitness and Wellness Center and movement studio support cardiovascular and strength training, exercise classes and other wellness activities. The combination of indoor fitness facilities and extensive outdoor recreation gives residents numerous ways to stay active beyond traditional gym workouts.
Court sports include tennis, pickleball and bocce, with facilities located within the Beach Club amenity complex. These options are available as part of the homeowner lifestyle rather than requiring membership in the private Golf Club, an important distinction for buyers who want an active recreational community but are not golfers.
Dining is also incorporated into the Beach Club experience. Residents can enjoy indoor dining, patio dining and the lakefront Q-Bar Tiki, creating casual options for meals, drinks and socializing within the community. The lakefront setting allows residents to combine dining with boating, swimming or other recreational activities, reinforcing the resort-style atmosphere.
Golfers can separately pursue membership at The Quarry Golf Club, a private club featuring an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. The course opened in 2007 and later hosted the PGA Champions Tour's ACE Group Classic in 2010 and 2011. Golf Club membership is not automatically included with residential ownership, allowing residents to choose whether the private golf experience is important to them.
The Quarry's combination of recreation is ultimately what makes the community distinctive. Residents can boat in the morning, play pickleball or tennis, relax at the beach or pool, have lunch overlooking the lake and, with separate Club membership, play a round of golf, all without leaving the community. Few Naples neighborhoods combine an active freshwater lake lifestyle with this breadth of land-based recreation.
