The end of the year is always a favorite time of year. The holiday spirit starts to creep in... the itch for Hallmark movies and holiday music takes hold. The anticipation of families and free time tends to get us all excited. As we start to gear up for the holidays, I thought I would share some of the highlights of activities going on in Naples so that you could start to plan your calendars early. Following area ideas for things to do in Naples during the holiday season.
2021 Holiday Activities
Instead of a single Tree Lighting event, we will be having a week long celebration with even more twinkly lights and decorations then ever, music, snow and a window decorating contest where all of the stores and restaurants will compete to show that they have the most holiday spirit on the street.
Naples Botanical Gardens showcases thousands of lights illuminating the gardens each day.
The Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort annual Gingerbread House. Naples’ award-winning pastry team and carpenters will collaborate to create this year‘s legendary confection covered Gingerbread House. Cookies served nightly.
Mercato event lawn for a community wide Chanukah Celebration! Light the menorah, enjoy live music from the Naples Klezmer Revival Band & snack on latkes, donuts, gelt & more!
The Celebration at Cambier Park hosted by Chabad of Naples will feature a giant painted Menorah, rides, games, crafts, refreshments and treats.
The Trees & Teas Festival features decorated trees and delightful teas provided by The Naples Spice and Tea Exchange. The theatre lobby will be filled with trees designed by local artists, while music will entertain guests.Holiday wreaths will be available for purchase and all proceeds from the festival will benefit the highly regarded programs at The Naples Players.
It’s a winter wonderland at the Naples Depot Museum as we deck the Depot in festive decor! The month-long extravaganza features holiday decorations throughout the museum—including lots of fun activities for kids!
If you love the sound of sleigh bells and the site of twinkling lights as much as you enjoy learning about the history of Naples, then you won't want to miss this year's Christmas at Palm Cottage! Historic Palm Cottage will be appropriately dressed for the occasion, showcasing elegant holiday decor to warm the hearts of visitors.
The biggest Christmas showcase in Naples! Enjoy the official Christmas tree lighting on 5th Avenue South in Sugden Plaza and amazing holiday experiences, including a living nativity by the First Church of the Nazarene, skating rink, live music, Santa Claus and Avenue dining. Two-Day Festival.
Snowfest is hosted at Golden Gate Community Park and offers many attractions, but the leading attraction is the 100 tons of snow. 1200 blocks of ice are trucked in and put through an ice chipper, which is magically transformed into snow. Other attractions include a full scale carnival, entertainment, hands on arts & crafts, food vendors, and more.
This free two day event is dedicated to providing an enchanting community holiday experience to families in the Naples area.
The Naples Christmas Parade will Line up on Broad Ave. The Floats will turn right onto Third Street South, then right on 5th Ave South, and end on 8th Street South, Naples.
The Budweiser Clydesdales will be at Mercato in North Naples
Cmon hosts holiday and winter-inspired games and activities, gingerbread house-building, visits with Santa Claus, and a snowy surprise!
The birth of Christ is presented through song and live re-enactment.

A Naples favorite holiday tradition ~ MIACC’s Christmas Boat Parade on Naples Bay
The Christmas Village will open 75 minutes prior to each performance and close 15 minutes before start time. You'll enjoy a Christmas EXPERIENCE where everyone who attends has the opportunity to participate and interact in an old-town Christmas Village, festival-type setting, which will be done in our Courtyard and Commons. The festival will include stations where young children can make cookies, ornaments and snowballs. We’ll have drink stations for hot chocolate and wassail, and places for families to take photos around a Christmas Tree or Sleigh. A LIVE NATIVITY will be staged and musical
