What if there was a place where kids could have fun, play, and feel supported – no matter their abilities? That's exactly what Lisa Kolak and her business partner, Ed Paquette, wanted to create when they opened the new We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym in Naples.

Lisa’s journey into special needs care started over 20 years ago and is very personal to her. With a son and granddaughter both living with autism, Lisa dreamed of opening a place that would give back to families like hers. Now, this dream has come to life in Naples with the second We Rock the Spectrum location in Southwest Florida.

We Rock the Spectrum isn’t just for kids with autism—it’s for children of all abilities. The gym offers a sensory-friendly space filled with equipment and activities designed to help children with sensory processing disorders, but any child can benefit from the activities here. It’s all about giving kids a chance to explore, grow, and have fun in a safe and welcoming space.

Lisa’s vision isn’t just about providing a play area. It’s about building a supportive community for families who need it. “I wanted to create a place where families feel seen and supported,” Lisa explains. “We want every child, whether they have a disability or not, to be accepted for who they are.”

In addition to the gym’s sensory-friendly play equipment, the space offers a range of services for families. Therapists can bring children in for free, and families can access resources like open play times, birthday parties, break times, private playdates, and more. There’s also a special focus on homeschooling families, offering a space where their children can interact with others.

Lisa is eager to hear from the Naples community to help shape the gym’s future. “We want to know what the community needs. Do you want a teen room? A parents’ night out? We’re listening,” she says.

We Rock the Spectrum is about more than just playtime—it’s about creating a space where everyone belongs. It's about making sure every family has the support and resources they need.
