New in the Neighborhood: Brü Bistro & Lobster Roll

If the words warm, buttery lobster roll are enough to get your attention, you may want to put Brü Bistro & Lobster Roll on your Naples restaurant radar. Tucked into Berkshire Commons on Radio Road, Brü Bistro & Lobster Roll brings something a little different to this part of Naples: a relaxed neighborhood bistro where lobster rolls share the menu with steak frites, salmon, pasta, burgers, lobster bisque and house-made desserts. It isn't trying to be a sprawling seafood restaurant or another special-occasion dining destination. Instead, Brü Bistro leans into the appeal of a comfortable local spot where the food is approachable, the menu has plenty of variety and dinner doesn't require a trip to one of Naples' major dining districts.

And that is exactly the kind of addition I enjoy featuring in my New in the Neighborhood series. Some new businesses make headlines because they are big. Others are interesting because they make everyday life in a particular part of Naples just a little better. Brü Bistro falls into that second category, giving residents in and around the Berkshire Lakes area another locally convenient place to meet friends, grab a meal or satisfy a lobster-roll craving without heading toward the coast.

From Lobster Rolls to a Neighborhood Bistro

As the name suggests, lobster rolls remain one of the stars of the menu. Guests can choose between a cold preparation with a light mayonnaise dressing or a hot version with butter, served with a choice of green salad, Caesar salad or fries.

But the "Bistro" in the name is important because this isn't simply a lobster roll shop. Brü Bistro describes its approach as "Simple • Seasonal • Classic," with a focus on familiar flavors, quality ingredients and traditional preparation methods.

That broader concept makes the restaurant an option even when everyone at the table isn't in the mood for seafood. The menu combines its signature lobster roll with bistro-style entrées and comfort-food favorites, creating the kind of variety that can work for an easy lunch or dinner with friends or family.

What's on the Menu at Brü Bistro?

For lobster lovers, there is more than the signature roll to consider. Lobster bisque offers another way to get your seafood fix, prepared with pesto oil and sherry. The shareable and lighter side of the menu includes options such as Caesar salad, organic mesclun greens, hummus, charcuterie and cheese, chicken wings and crispy Brussels sprouts. The latter gets a decidedly indulgent treatment with garlic aioli, panko, prosciutto, honey and nuts.

Move into the main courses and the menu takes a more traditional bistro turn. Steak frites pairs New York strip loin with peppercorn jus and asparagus, while seared salmon is accompanied by roasted potatoes, vegetables and a charred lemon-caper shallot cream. Pasta fans have options such as Bolognese with beef, spaghetti and Parmesan, along with turkey lasagna prepared with béchamel and crispy basil. And for someone craving a burger instead of seafood, the Brü Burger features a beef-and-pork blend with lettuce, pickles, American cheese and remoulade. Menus naturally evolve over time, so I always recommend checking directly with the restaurant for its current selections before visiting.

Save Room for Something Sweet

One detail that caught my attention is Brü Bistro's emphasis on making its desserts fresh in-house.

Dessert selections have included coconut Key lime pie, brioche bread pudding with chocolate and caramel sauce, and chocolate lava cake with berries and cream.

The coconut Key lime pie certainly feels at home on a Southwest Florida menu, while the bread pudding and lava cake fit nicely with the restaurant's overall comfort-food personality. If you're someone who normally says you're "too full for dessert," this may be the kind of menu that tests that theory.

A Bistro Built Around Familiar Food

Brü Bistro describes itself as a warm and welcoming neighborhood bistro where comfort comes first, with an emphasis on timeless flavors and traditional cooking techniques. One interesting detail is the restaurant's use of beef tallow in its kitchen, a traditional cooking fat that has seen renewed culinary interest. It fits with the restaurant's broader approach of leaning into classic preparation rather than chasing an overly complicated concept. The result is a menu that feels intentionally familiar. Lobster rolls may get top billing, but steak, salmon, pasta, burgers, salads and desserts make Brü Bistro more broadly appealing than its name might initially suggest.

Why Location Matters

When people talk about dining in Naples, the conversation often gravitates toward Fifth Avenue South, Third Street South, Mercato, Venetian Village and the other well-known restaurant destinations closer to the coast.

But those aren't the only places where Naples' dining scene is evolving.

Brü Bistro is located in Berkshire Commons on Radio Road, putting it close to a number of established residential communities in central and eastern Naples. For people living nearby, a good neighborhood restaurant can become much more than somewhere you try once. It can become the easy weeknight dinner, the place you meet friends when nobody wants to drive across town or the answer to the inevitable question, "Where should we eat tonight?"

That convenience is part of what makes neighborhood businesses interesting from a real estate perspective, too. When buyers are comparing areas of Naples, they aren't evaluating houses in isolation. They're also considering what everyday life will look like once they live there. Where will they grocery shop? How far is their favorite coffee shop? Are there restaurants nearby? How convenient is it to get to recreation, shopping and services? Those details rarely make the headline on a real estate listing, but they can have a surprisingly big influence on how much someone enjoys where they live.

More Reasons to Explore Beyond Naples' Best-Known Dining Districts

One of the fun things about living in Naples is discovering places outside the areas visitors tend to know first. As our community has grown, restaurants, shops and services have continued to spread into different parts of the area, creating more options closer to residential neighborhoods.

That means you don't necessarily have to drive downtown or toward the beach every time you want a good meal.

Restaurants like Brü Bistro add another layer to the local dining scene by giving residents an option that feels more like a neighborhood destination. And while visitors may eventually discover these spots, they're especially valuable to the people who live nearby and can make them part of their regular routine.

Why I Keep an Eye on What's New in Naples

Real estate may be my business, but understanding Naples means knowing a lot more than home prices and inventory. The businesses opening throughout our community help shape what it is like to actually live here. A new restaurant, coffee shop, boutique, fitness studio, entertainment venue or neighborhood service may seem like a small change on its own, but collectively these additions influence the character and convenience of different parts of Naples. That's why I created my New in the Neighborhood series.

I enjoy sharing new businesses that Naples residents may want to know about, while also giving people who are considering a move here a glimpse into how our community continues to evolve. There is always something new to discover, and sometimes that discovery happens to come on a toasted roll with lobster and butter.

I'm perfectly fine with that.
